Tmod loader freezes mods when it downloads them

So far the mods I've attempted to download that don't work are Thorium, Calamity (Both the base mod and the music), Overhaul, and other mods that add a lot of .  · So I have started a new character with a new world after adding some new mods, but after some time of playing, the inventory would start to give me small freezes. Trying to join my friend' calamity server, when I press join it starts loading Calamity Mod (no calamity music) and then stops at around 70%, freezing for as long as I can tell until I press cancel, at which point it deletes Calamity from my mod list.
